Systems Coordinator
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Systems Coordinator provides leadership and coordination across the bank with all technology systems. They will create Systems policies and procedures. The Systems Coordinator will be responsible for enforcing compliance with set standards and procedures through training of bank personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with 5 years of financial services experience; OR,
- Associate’s degree with 5-7 years of financial services experience; OR,
- Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Bank Management
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Perform functions to design, analyze, develop, and implement new systems and modify/maintain existing applications to meet bank goals
- Coordinate activities of the Systems area including projects, core, and ancillary applications
- Interact and consult with bank departments to identify system requirements and methods to improve efficiency
- Troubleshoot and solve moderate to complex business, core, and application issues
- Coordinate Systems and Operations in developing procedures and training
- Plan, manage, and analyze Systems/Operations/IT projects within the organization
- Establishes schedules, project parameters, and setup procedures to accomplish objectives
- Manage compliance with standards and procedures
- Streamline and standardize processes, while coordinating with other departments
- Provide personnel with required system/network training within the organization
- Establish two-way communications between departments and Systems
- Foster a climate of excellent relations with both internal and external customers
- Validate and resolve any balance discrepancies
- Serve as a System liaison to Loans, Deposits, Operations, and IT
- Schedule and monitor testing of systems and applications
- Key liaison with the application companies to trouble shoot issues and confirm compatibility
- Schedule and coordinate required meetings
- Co-manage with CIO IT Risk Assessment
- Co-manage with ISO Business Continuity Plan
- Co-manage with CIO and President IT Related Policies
- Co-Manage with ISO Vendor Management
- Provide information for Internal and External Audits
- Provide information for Examinations and Examiners
- Validate procedures, internal controls, policies, and standards within the Systems department
- Member of Management, Information Technology (IT) Steering, Compliance, Deposit Services, Process Improvement, and Growth Committees
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer with Systems budget
- Install and manage standards and procedures for equipment operation and use of software and recommend changes, as necessary
- Review application logs to troubleshoot issues
- Review application databases and servers to ensure standards and best performance
- Comply with bank policies, operations, and security procedures
- Maintain customer confidence and protect the bank operations by keeping information confidential
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
- Responsible to the bank’s President/Chief Operating Officer for the successful performance of assigned responsibilities. Also has key relationships with the bank’s Chief Information Officer, Information Security Officer, Director of Deposits, Director of Loan Administration, Chief Credit Officer, and the bank’s Operations Department (wires, fraud, ACH, retail online banking support).
- Seeks assistance and advice from other bank personnel as needed, to ensure the successful performance of assigned responsibilities.

Through both oral and written reports to immediate and department supervisors.
