Insurance Agency Assistant- Bruning Location

Purpose of Position:

The position of the Insurance Agency Assistant is to assist the Agency Manager and other agency personnel with transactions as permitted by Nebraska's agent licensing laws. The Insurance Agency Assistant is responsible for assisting the completion of applications, endorsements, and other changes to new and existing insurance contracts. They will be expected to greet customers by telephone or in person, file, scan, copy, and other duties to run an efficient insurance agency office. 

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree (preferred) with 1-2 years of administrative experience; OR
  • High School Diploma/GED with 3-4 years of administrative experience; OR
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Bank Management 

Primary Duties: 

  • Greet customers in person or by telephone
  • Assist in gathering information, quoting, completion and submission of applications and endorsements, and other duties for all lines of business
  • Perform office duties, including but not limited to filing, copying, and scanning
  • Complete tasks by using the Agency Management System and company websites 
  • Order office supplies as necessary
  • Actively participate in customer, community, and public relation activities to increase the agency and the bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities
  • Cross-sell the bank's services to clients
  • Comply with insurance agency and bank policies, operations, and security procedures
  • Maintain customer confidence and protect the bank operations by keeping information confidential
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Organizational Relationships:

  • Responsile to the bank's Insurance Agency Manager/Insurance Agent for the successful performance of assigned responsibilities. 
  • Seeks assistance and advice from other bank personnel as needed, to assure the successful performance of assigned responsibilities.

Methods of Accountability:

Through both oral and written reports to immediate and department supervisors.

  • Working knowledge of personal computer, including Microsoft Office products
