Bruning Bank Security

Bruning Bank Security

Your privacy and security are as important to us as they are to you.  Bruning Bank uses state-of-the-art technology to ensure that your personal information and confidential transactions remain safe, secure and private.

In order to use Online Banking, your browser must support the TLS 1.2 protocol and 256-bit encryption.  This provides a secure channel to send and receive data over the Internet using encryption capabilities.  "Encryption" means we will scramble the data we send back and forth to prevent third parties from accessing your information.

We also protect your privacy and security through a series of routing and firewalls that prevent unauthorized persons from obtaining your account information.

You authorize and authenticate your online banking transactions through the use of your password and your ATM/debit card transactions through the use of your PIN.  You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your password and PIN.  If someone phones you claiming to be a Bruning Bank representative and asks for your password or PIN, do not give it out.  Ask for identification and contact us immediately to report the incident.

It is very important that you keep your password and PIN secure to prevent unauthorized use of your account.  If you feel that your password or PIN is no longer secure, contact us immediately.

Here are some tips for keeping your password and PIN secure:

  • Choose a password and PIN that others cannot guess.
  • Do not tell anyone else your password or PIN.
  • Never send a password or PIN by email.
  • Consider changing your password regularly.
  • Do not leave your password or PIN where someone else can find it.  Keep it safe!
