Money Market Savings Account
An account that earns more interest.- Unlimited transfers permitted between accounts of the same depositor at Bank. (If done in person, by messenger, by mail or to pay loans at the Bank.)
- Transfers to another account or to third parties by preauthorized, automatic, or telephone transfer are limited to six per month including by check, draft, or similar order to third parties. If account exceeds 6 withdrawals per month - $6.00 charge per item. If account repeats violation of 6 withdrawals per month, Bank must convert to transactional account.
- Minimum balance to open is $1,000.00. If minimum balance falls below $1,000.00 - $6.00 charge per month.

Who is eligible for an HSA?
Customers who are:
- not yet enrolled in Medicare
- not eligible to be claimed as a dependent on another person's tax return
- covered by a high-deductible health insurance plan
What are the deductible requirements?
For 2010 and 2011, the deductible must be at least:
- $1,200 for an Individual
- $2,400 for a Family
How much can I contribute per year?
For 2010 and 2011, the maximum contribution amount is:
- $3,050 for an individual
- $6,150 for a family
Exception: If you are over the age of 55 but under the age of 65, there are "catch up provisions" - you may contribute an additional $1,000 per year for 2010 and 2011.
What is the contribution deadline?
The date on which you file your taxes, usually April 15 of each year.
Are there any changes for 2011?
Yes, the new healthcare legislation will impact HSA's in two ways starting
January 1, 2011:
- Over-the-counter meds will no longer be considered a qualified medical expense.
- The penalty for using HSA funds for non-qualifying expenses will increase to 20%.
